I am lost in the web yet again. Are old ones however bad nick worth anything as would love to get rid of this big black evil mess in our kitchen

If you can still get the parts to refurb then the stove should be worth a bob or two, particularly if it is a known make. Unless I new it was a good un, I wouldn't bother with a used one. It's a lot of work for me to fit and plump it in and I wouldn't want it to fail for at least ten years. Having said that a new morso squirell with a boiler is a pretty penny. Cheap woodstoves with a boiler, do they exist and if so are they any good. I don't know. I did try a workshop stove once but it was not very controllable, but cheap it was.

I see they must have sorted the rules out for installing stoves on boats if Machine Mart are giving out the BS number. www.soliftec.com/Boat%20Stoves%201-page.pdfLast time I looked it was still in draft and they were accepting input. I wonder if I did it right?

Try as I might I can't really find anything wrong with it. True it would be nice if the boiler were stainless but hey. Cast iron, new metal, seems thought out and engineered. And the price, nice.
