LOGISTICS!?...O.K.folks...So I tell the council I move around weekends/hols ...but can I still use the marina as my permanent address for Banking/Taxman/Possibly to sign on to find work/benefits if needed ?...I dont want to for example fall off the radar with the taxman as he has taken to making false claims for tax he says I owe...and fines could pile up in my absence and my innocence...without me knowing ...at the moment in this infernal Ping-Pong they say they owe me £500!...last time I tried to collect it they buried me under an avalanche of self assessment forms going back to the cradle!...."MAMA - MAMA -MAMAAA!"......ROD. I dont wanna get on the electoral roll...so maybe that would give me some cover........................."WASSAY!?"

Providing the marina will allow you to have mail go to them, as some don't. Some of us use the local post office address for all our official mail, they seem to accept it. (but don't include c/o at the start of the address, just the address) Worth a try
The following extract from: "So! you want to live on a boat"
You would need to keep a shore-side address as many mooring operators will not allow mail to be sent to their address on your behalf. Maybe a friend or relative would be happy to let you use their address for your mail. Without a registered UK address you will find difficulty in opening a new bank account, your driving licence, vehicle road tax, etc., and to register for a doctor. (you will find they do not accept a PO Box address) Best to get all those arrangements sorted before you start. There are ways around these problems but the solutions can be time consuming and/or expensive.
(Hey Billy or anyone else! any further comments or input welcome)

Sorry Rod.... I know the "mail/address" problem can sometimes be difficult. (unless you are lucky enough to have a marina, happy to take in your mail and let you use their addess of course.)
another alternative if you do have problems, take a look here : www.boatpost.co.uk
