I have a question - we recently faced a problem as we are not currently on the electoral role. We are cautious of bringing it up with the council in its official format (we've been upfront with the marina) because we worry it might land the marina in trouble as they have a no liveaboards policy in their rules and regs.
Are any of you guys on the electoral role? We have a postal address in the form of a pigeon hole in the marina office but it'd be nice to vote. (and take part in the government scheme of guitar purchasing - :-()

I'm not sure Dan, But I seem to remember someone telling me they voted during the last election. I will ask around and see what I can find out for you. If anyone else can help answer, feel free to comment.

Hi Dan
I am on the electoral roll even though I have never voted in my life - reasons are that I do not trust anyone in government as they are all liars and cheats (and now thieves) but I have not had any problems however, I do have an address in Norfolk albeit not mine.

Hi Dan, I had a word with someone who is on the electoral roll. He uses his local post office to take in his mail and tells me he gave that address. It seems the post office address was accepted. So maybe that's the answer for you Dan. Enquire at your local post office to see if they would take in and hold your mail for you to collect. Then use the post office address to get on the electoral roll, without implicating your Marina.
