I have a solid fuel stove, I got it from Natural Heating at Attleborough. After shopping around I found them to be the cheapest, with a "Mini coachman premier" stove, rated at 6kw. for only £300. . They also do all the bits to go with it if you need them, including the chimney. I did find them difficult to locate, so let me know if anyone wants directions. You can't beat the heat you get from a solid fuel stove, it's a dry heat too, so no condensation. Once ticking over at the beginning of the Winter mine doesn't go out again till the spring ( other than when I forget to make it up) The only scary bit is cutting the hole through the roof for the chimney. **** What sort of heating do you recommend ?

I have just been in to "Range" the super store at Norwich and discovered they have my fire in there for just £199 The same one I paid £300 for. If only they had them in stock earlier in the year... Oh well

I have a small pot bellied stove from Machine Mart in Norwich, it was £85!It is the smallest stove they do and I have fitted this size to a caravan and a home built campervan. If you go online on Machine Mart web site and click on "heating & stoves"you will see their entire range..they are by far the cheapest I have found. They do stove pipes too but not the double insulated ones...I got that from "Flues direct" Online and was £140 and the Cowl was £45 again from Machine Mart.
The scariest part is cutting the holes in a perfectly good roof but the heat is dry and it sure cuts down the condensation and in a small boat like mine it only takes 10-15 mins to heat the entire boat...plus it will burn wood, coal, peat and charcoal.
If anyone wants a look at my installation please feel free to ask if you see me around.
BSC inspector at Martham did an airflow test on it and said it was fine.
